Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
Has anyone purchased from robotshop and had them do warranty work? If so, how was your experience? What was the turn-around time for them to get your neato back to you? Thanks.

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
I have purchased a Neato from Robotshop, and I've had them do non-warranty work on a Roomba I purchased elsewhere. They returned my Roomba within 48-hours of receiving it. Thankfully, I have had no need to get any service on my Neato yet!
Hope that helps a bit.

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
I bought my Neato XV-15 from Robotshop in Europe/France. Actually 2 pieces as I ordered one for a friend, too.
Both were defective.
The one my friend got had a problem with a spring and a plastic part being broken on arrival. I think this problem is known and also described in a few posts here. I described the problem via the online ticket system and got a RMA for returning it within one day.
My Neato had problems with the battery - after loading and showing a solid green light the robot worked for a few minutes and then the battery was empty. First I was told to update to the newest firmware. After this did not help and after describing the problem again (I did not know how long the Neato was working before and found out it was about 5-10 minutes as I always had it running on time schedule earlier) I got an RMA, too.
Sending it back via UPS at no charge went fine.
Then (as the stock of robotshop was empty first and they received a new delivery 2 or 3 days after sending me the RMA) I received the information that the replacement is on its way.
I checked the tracking tool of the postal service earlier today, it is in my home country and I suppose I will get it this week.
From my point of view the service is very good - you just only need to take into account that the response time for the ticket system might be one day or two (which was the case for the first ticket issued on a weekend and then I received answers within 24 hours).

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
Thanks guys. I purchased a neato from robot shop and at first was not happy because they took 6 days to ship. But I still like the idea of a 5 year warranty, especially because the neatos still have significant issues and parts are so expensive. So I'll wait for this one to arrive and hope their warranty turn around time isn't so painfully. Thanks for your input.

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
For me the 5 year warranty was the reason to buy from robotshop, too.
I really was thinking about buying one in the US and have it sent to Europe but with the information on this board about defects I decided to wait for the European version. As both neatos had defects I am glad I waited for the European version as the replacement-process went smooth.
Now both Neatos work fine. I even think that mine is more silent than the other one (the one that had problems with the battery). I had it running yesterday and today about 45 minutes to clean the whole appartment.
There was just only one small problem with a shoe and its shoelace - neato decided to suck it up and then beeped for me to come and help (the LCD display described the problem). Now with the shoelace not being on the floor anymore the cleaning was just great. (and I was surprised to see how much dirt I took out of the dirt bin this morning)

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
Hi sageman,
The others are correct when they mention that the RobotShop Limited Lifetime Warranty is 5 years total. We warranty Robotic Vacuums for 5 years which in our opinion is the useful lifespan for this type of product. The 5 year warranty is the same whether you are in Europe or North America. Although, the standard warranty for the Neato in Europe is two years and 1 year in North America.
Feel free to read more details concerning this warranty at the following link:
http://www.robotshop.com/warranty.html
Warranty exchanges and repairs are usually very quick. As mentioned by other members, there could be delays caused by out of stock products. This usually happens on rare occasions.
Do not hesitate if you have any questions.

Re: Robotshop.com warranty reviews, turn-around time?
Hi sageman,
Our warranty has always been 5 years. Although, it is possible that the wording may have changed between then and now in order to make it clearer for customers.
We feel that 5 years is fair and will allow customers to fully enjoy the benefit of their robot.
Sincerely,
