Navibot SR8845 suction motor voltage

Post by Kelad »

Hi All
great website. I purchased a 2nd hand navibot for $27 Aussie dollars and after looking here the noisey robot is caused by the suction motor impeller slipping up the shaft and hitting the case as explained in this forum. I have used the super glue fix. I want to test the suction unit before putting everything back together. Its a S.M.C motor. Do you think it would be 12V ? I would like to appply this voltage and ensure all ok. Again, great website.

Regards
Tom

~15V Battery Voltage.

But generally you can test the suction unit externally with a lower voltage, you will hear if it is touching anything quite easily.
And the glue will be strong enough no worries, I am running my impeller with super glue at a much higher speed than normal without problems.

Thanks Gargas, i ended up just putting it all back together. The glue work great and the suction is now quiet. I tested all the sensors using the documents provided and everything good. That testing feature of the robot is awesome. Great website this. Thanks, Tom :D

Download PDFs from http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewto ... 96#p115588 and print. Take your time. Allow a few hours, be patient and you can dismantle easy. Take photos as you go.
