My new M6 has been used about four times with no problems. I fired it up this afternoon to do the kitchen and when it came back to dock it gets within 3 inches of dock in correctly, more or less when it tries to go up the white plate. It then pulls back out meanders around in circles for a few minutes, then sometimes makes the full dock. I have the M6 approximately 8 inches from my I7 clean base. Would that do it? Then again it’s always been in these positions and it worked up until today. My map is accurate and complete.
Thanks in advance

Re: Help w/ M6 return home
I don't know specifically about the i7 but iRobot docks etc all have a 'halo' to cast a puddle of IR light to stop the robot bumping into it. I suspect you are on the borderline so sometimes it works, and maybe with some dust/time the light is getting more diffused and making the problem appear worse. Start but setting them up at opposite ends of the room and take it from there...glen e wrote:... I have the M6 approximately 8 inches ...

Re: Help w/ M6 return home
Thanks for the advice. I have separated the M6 of the i7 to about 28 inches between them, it seems to have helped. Another thing I learned is that if you take it into another room to save some time because the dock is far away, or you use it for spot cleaning, it will not return home to the dock after it is finished. Even says that in the manual. I wish they would clear that up, and give you a return home button/option no matter why the bot is away from the dock.
