Why can't I open my Scooba 330?

I got a new Scooba 330 from Hammacher Schlemmer in May. I had a hard time getting it open. The battery died and I returned it to Hammacher Schlemmer. I recieved the new one today and cannot get it to open. Can anyone help me? Has anyone had this problem?

Try placing your Scooba in a vertical position with the front upward then press the release handle. If that won't work try inserting a butter knife between the tank and Scooba base, twist the butter knife while pressing the release handle.

It worked, Thanks. Are you supposed to have the scooba vertical when you open it?

After a few more cycles of opening and closing your Scooba tank you should be able to let it sit flat on the floor or other surface and open it up. By the way it is also a good idea not to store the Scooba on its wheels. Store it with the wheels off the ground or upside down. That will increase the lifetime of your Scooba drive wheels.
