Bought the iRobot Braava 380t. Would say I am 80% satisfied. On the other hand, I am 98% satisfied with my Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner. My short video on the Braava 380t: https://youtu.be/TKbP-WtPvso
My main complaint is that the battery runs out fast and I have to recharge for a few hours before I can use it again. Hence, I am not able to complete mopping my entire house in one afternoon. I found that I can buy spare batteries for about $15 from Amazon and taobao.

Seems easy enough to replace the battery: https://homesupport.irobot.com/app/answ ... es-battery.
But I do not want to have to charge the battery in the Braava. Can I buy or fabricate an external charger so that I can be using the Braava and charging the spare? And when the Braava runs out of battery, I will swap the batteries, one to use and the other to charge?
Braava 380t Spare Battery - How to charge?
Re: Braava 380t Spare Battery - How to charge?
You will probably need to make an adapter for the plug but any RC charger for NIMH/NICAD batteries will work.
Putting wire/pins into the red and black locations and hooking up with alligator clips would work.

you can connect a RC with this male connector that matches the batteries for the braava/mint:

with these connector pins:

then you have an external charger for your extra battery

why don't you charge both before you run your brarva 380t?
I bought an extra battery pack from here
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M2 ... UTF8&psc=1
It only last for about 1 year
eah extra battery runs for about 2.5 hours
So I use 2 of them it would be long enough for my house

Re: Braava 380t Spare Battery - How to charge?
Just read your post... almost 2 years minus 11 days since you posted your idea. Thanks for sharing. I've got a Mint/Braava 4200, disappointed that the battery takes almost 16 hours to recharge. Was hoping to have multiple batteries with external chargers so I can simultaneously charge these rechargeable batteries and use my mint to clean my house in one day using one battery after another.rickp51 wrote:you can connect a RC with this male connector that matches the batteries for the braava/mint:

As I look at the two items you have shared, I understand how the female adapter from the battery would connect to the male connector (Digi-key part # WM18903-ND). However how does that male connector with the 5 pins connect to the CONN SOCKET 22-28AWG CRIMP TIN? And how would I take any external power adapter and connect to the CONN SOCKET 22-28AWG CRIMP TIN?
Essentially I need a male adapter that would connect to an external power adapter.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Daryl
