Pure i9 Launch

Post by purei9 »

Hello! I'm part of the team responsible for launching Electrolux's Pure i9 in the United States. We think it's important to note that we'd like to protect the integrity of this forum, so if you feel like a post here from a Robot manufacturer is inappropriate, please let us know and we won't do it again. That being said, it seems like this is the place on the internet where robot nerds like us hang out and we'd love feedback and the ability to answer questions about our product in this forum.

A few facts to put out for the community here at Robot Reviews:

*Our site is live → https://purei9.com/
*We'd like to offer our friends at Robot Reviews a discount of $250 on the product; Please use the code ROBOTREVIEWS at checkout
*The coupon is valid until 15 April 2018

Please give us feedback and let us know if you have any questions. We'll do our best to answer them promptly

Thanks!

I can confirm the code works for $250 off.
I owned the Electrolux Trilobite and Electrolux abruptly left the US market making it impossible to get replacement parts, even something as simple as a battery.

Given the extensive competition, and Electrolux history of abandoning their customers, this is going to be a hard sell in the US.

Thanks for the feedback. All I can say is that we're confident about entering the US market and are committed to providing a great experience, which will include providing consumers with replacement parts.

How long is the warranty?
To avoid the consumer from stuck with another broken robot if Electrolux abandons yet again on this new model. Are you going to release the service manual together with your April Pure i9 release?

Sorry, but your service is nonsense.

Your U.S. support number does not work.

Your web shop does not list any spare parts.

I have not received any response via email for over three days now.

Worst purchase I have ever made.

Do NOT by this vacuum. You will be left out to dry with a $900 vacuum and no support, no spare or replacement parts, no nothing!

I am also experiencing the lack of customer support. I called Electrolux and they said this isn't their product!

I signed a NDA with them a year ago and was supposed to help with technical support on the US Launch of the Pure i9. I have not had any communications with the i9 team in Sweden in about 9 months now.

This may or may not be related to the robot vacuum itself but recently it does appear as though Electrolux is once again leaving the U.S. market, or at least a good majority of it. They have sold their Eureka, Beam and Sanitaire divisions to other companies. I have also heard that they are discontinuing their ultra one high end series canister vacuums but don't know for sure on this. The company is definitely selling off a lot of their main products though.
